Clarity, focus and purpose – if you have these in place your business will flow with more ease. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, confused and stuck. You’re likely to be holding yourself back and you can begin to question everything. It can be easy to procrastinate or to focus on the wrong things that are not leading you closer to where you want to be.
The truth is that YOU are usually the one who is standing in your own way, when it comes to progressing your business and life to the next level. I see this all the time with clients. I have been there too. So I’ve got your back on this. At times we really can be our own worst enemy.
There will be days when you’ll feel frustrated, you’re in a funk and you find yourself spinning your wheels.
Those repetitive thoughts that run through your mind (and they tend to be the same ones, day in, day out) will determine your actions and outcomes. So keep your thoughts purposeful, focused, motivated and positive.
Having a lack of clarity, also plays a big part. Without clarity, there is no focus or plan. Frustration sets in and this can sabotage the best of intentions.
A good thing to know is that a lack of clarity is a form of resistance that every entrepreneur will encounter. So know that you are not alone. It plays a part when the right decision has to be made, and in business we are always making decisions. When you become more aware of this form of resistance ’showing up’ you can begin to work through it, create a plan and be more intentional.
If you’re a solopreneur then working through your decisions and seeking clarity can feel overwhelming without support. I would encourage you to seek out like-minded entrepreneurs through a MeetUp or networking group. You could join a free or paid mastermind group, or find a entrepreneurial buddy who you can speak to regularly.
If you’re feeling unclear about the direction you’re wanting to step into, then nothing is going to change or move forward until you give it the time and space it deserves.
To help your mind find the clarity it seeks, consider spending time away from your usual working environment. Go on a day trip or vacation, travel, meditate, journal, take some exercise outside or do a creative activity you love.
Once you have a clear vision you can focus. You can then be intentional about making that vision a reality with a sense of purpose, stability and direction.
Until next time
